Delta Kitchen Remodeling: The West Palm Beach Owner’s Guide

Delta kitchen remodeling in West Palm Beach typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on cabinet run length, countertop material, and whether we’re moving plumbing or electrical. We keep the most common Delta-compatible replacement components and finish kits on our trucks, and we can usually assess what you need within one visit. Most homeowners discover a problem the same way: a cabinet face pulls loose from its hinge plate, a drawer slide binds mid-run, a finish starts lifting at the seam, or a faucet base begins weeping where it meets the deck.

What separates a straightforward fix from a full remodel is whether the failure is isolated or systemic. A single hinge replacement is a two-hour job. But if the hinge screws have stripped the substrate on three doors, you’re looking at face-frame repair or replacement. Curtis Lane has seen enough of these in West Palm Beach’s humidity to know which direction a job is heading before he opens the second cabinet.

Which Delta Models This Applies To

An open kitchen and dining area after a remodel

When homeowners say “Delta kitchen,” they’re usually referring to one of two things. The first is Delta Faucet Company fixtures and accessories: the Leland, Trinsic, Essa, and Cassidy lines are the most common in West Palm Beach kitchens built or remodeled in the last 15 years. The second, and more ambiguous, is Delta cabinetry hardware, which is typically a builder-grade or mid-tier line installed in volume during construction. We work with both.

The compatibility gotcha with Delta faucets is the finish code. A Trinsic in Arctic Stainless is not the same part number as a Trinsic in Champagne Bronze, and the cartridges are not always interchangeable across the two. The finish code is stamped on the underside of the spout base on a small tag, and if that tag is gone, we match by physical measurement and handle configuration. For Delta cabinet hardware, we identify the series by the hinge cup diameter and the screw pattern. Older Delta hinges use a 35mm cup; the current builder series uses 40mm. Getting that wrong means drilling new bores, and at that point you may as well replace all of the doors at once.

We stock OEM Delta parts where they’re still available and use quality aftermarket equivalents only when the OEM part is discontinued or the aftermarket version fixes a known weak point. The aftermarket cartridges with ceramic discs, for example, outlast the original plastic-body Delta cartridges by a wide margin in hard water. That’s a real-world call we make on the truck based on what we find under your sink.

Signs Your Delta Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Cabinet doors drifting out of alignment. This usually means the hinge screws are stripping the substrate, or the hinge itself has worn past its adjustment range. In older West Palm Beach homes where original particleboard cabinet boxes have absorbed decades of humidity, it’s the substrate, not the hinge, and the fix is a face-frame rebuild or new doors.
  • Faucet handle loosens or develops a drip at the base. A drip at the handle is typically a failed cartridge or O-ring. A drip at the base is usually a failed deck gasket, which means the faucet has to come off to replace it. If the counter has been flooded by either, the deck under the faucet is worth inspecting before you reinstall.
  • Drawer slide binds halfway, then releases. Delta builder-grade slides are rated for about 75 pounds. If pots and pans have been loading them at 120 pounds for five years, the ball bearings flatten and the slide hangs. Swapping in a full-extension soft-close slide is the upgrade we recommend, because it uses the same drawer box and keeps the front matched.
  • Finish pitting or clouding on pulls and faucet bodies. Coastal air in West Palm Beach carries salt, and it shows up first on polished finishes and clear-coat PVD. It’s cosmetic until it isn’t; the underlying brass or zinc will eventually start corroding, and the part has to go.
  • Soft-close mechanism slamming. The damper inside the hinge has blown and the hinge no longer catches. Delta soft-close hinges are sealed units; they can’t be rebuilt. Usually by the time two or three have failed on one run of cabinets, the rest aren’t far behind.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled kitchen with a waterfall island and wood cabinets

Full Delta kitchen remodeling in West Palm Beach runs $14,000 to $45,000. That includes demolition, haul-off, cabinet install, countertop fabrication and set, backsplash, sink and faucet installation, and the finish trim work. If you’re keeping the cabinet boxes and only replacing doors, drawer fronts, and hardware, expect a lower-ticket job, usually in the $4,000 to $13,000 range for the cabinetry scope. Countertop-only replacements run $2,000 to $6,500, depending on material.

What drives the spread is the material specification. A KraftMaid cabinet line with plywood boxes and soft-close hardware runs more than a builder-grade RTA line with particleboard. A Cambria or Silestone quartz top runs more than a basic laminate. We write the exact materials, quantities, and line-item pricing into your written quote before the first tool comes out, and that number does not move unless you change the scope in writing. Every completed job carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if anything we installed fails inside the warranty window, we come back and correct it at no charge.

DIY or Call Us?

Some of this work is genuinely safe to do yourself. Replacing a faucet cartridge, swapping a hinge, or setting a new drawer slide are all reasonable homeowner tasks if you have basic tools and the right part number in hand. Start there. The place we tell homeowners to stop is anything involving cabinet box repair, countertop removal, or undermount sink extraction. If the countertop has to come off to get to the faucet deck, or if you’re cutting into cabinet boxes to fit a new slide, call us before you touch it. West Palm Beach homes are full of cabinets that were installed tight to the wall, and prying one off without knowing how it was set can split the box. That turns a $300 hardware swap into a $3,000 cabinet replacement.
